Or for that matter a proper bitmap image (I'll trace it for ya). I have been searching everywhere for a scan and couldn't even find that!

The best I could come up with are some ebay foto's (used without permission) One which I doctored to look at least a tiny bit the business, but hardly usable for tracing I guess.

Sorry for those with low bandwidth conections, but hey get with the show already ;)

If you find anything better please let me know too. I'm searching for the bezel artwork myself.

I have tried to get some people (who advertise their ownership of an original Galaga cab on their site) to send me a picture, but had no luck. If I get a reply at all it's that I should just buy an original reproduction. Thing is, I'm not restoring an original, but something with different dimensions.

Twobits.com sells one for $100, but with shipping to the Netherlands I'd probably end up paying around $200. Actually it's a pretty cool item if you are really restoring a cab (with tempered glass and silkscreened art and all).

I guess I'll have to take my digital camera down to the local laundry.  They have a galaga machine there.

I wanted to blend the galaga art and make a hybrid machine myself.

Oh, you found one! Could you please please please (add more "pleases" if needed) send me some pictures too?

As I said before, these pictures were all I could find of the bezel and I'm having some trouble using these for vectorizing (it's just not high res enough).

So I really could use a good picture (or set of pictures) of:
- the bezel (maybe an overview and some close up's of the items on it)
- a picture of galaga bug on the front of control panel
- maybe one of the 3 instruction images that are on the control panel

I will vectorize these and if you like I could send you the results in return.

I'm about done vectorizing the control panel. I'm just not completely sure of the colors and there seem to be several styles of how the control panel looks (have seen at least 3 distinct CPO looks).

That's a bit complicated to trace, are you sure you're gonna trace it?

Note: the automatic trace by Illustrator or Streamline is pretty raw and you'll get the worst results you can image...

*just a advise*  :)

If I can get a usable picture I'll trace it. I'm a bit worried about the planets, but I guess the rest is not so hard. It's silkscreened artwork and I don't think it's rastered. There is a lot of detail in the stars and blue clouds, but that's just a matter of putting some work into it.

I haven't had any luck with autotracing stuff. As far as I know the only way is to do it by hand. Actually I seem to be spending the most time on getting the pictures (and if I find them scaling to the correct proportions). I found that the vectorizing itself is then not even that much work.

Like fredster, I also want the Galaga bezel, but after I traced the original I'll use it to create something "Galaga like" to fit my Cab.

I'm currently working on some art for my cab that's sort of based on Galaga, so I could use this too.

Also if anyone has a vector version of the Galaga CPO I'd be very grateful if you'd send it my way. If not if someone could post a decent quality picture of the CPO, that would be helpful too.

I'm not completely done with the CPO, but  (I think) it's almost complete. Trouble is I, lack some pictures to really be sure what it looks like and I'm not sure about the actual colors. Also there seem to be some (slightly) different CPO styles (and I just saw a radically different one offered on ebay). It's not completely done, so I'll PM you a current version.

Thanks! The art I'm doing is only loosely based on Galaga, anyway so the colors aren't important.
