25 inch Bestech missing blue. FIXED
« on: October 28, 2015, 09:57:48 am »
I have a 25 inch bestech that is missing/faint blue. I have checked the neck board transistors and replaced IC101 thinking that might be it but no sucess. With the game on in test and the color bars on the screen I swapped the red and blue video signal wires and blue comes up where the red was and red comes up faint where the blue was. I am probablly overlooking something simple, any help would be appreciated. thanks Steve

If the color is not 100% missing there's a chance that the potentiometer that tune the blue color gain is in the need for some setting or is bad and should be replaced

After tracing through the circuits and testing and resoldering i have been able to fix the problem. It was a weak blue signal coming from the game board. When I plugged another game into the cabinet all the colors were there. So now I need to find out out to fix the weak blue signal coming from my board.
Thanks for the advice and help. Steve
