Need Help With ArcadeOS Software for Mame Cab
« on: October 21, 2015, 06:06:20 am »
Hi,

I am new to the forum and need help troubleshooting a previously working copy of ArcadeOS running in a cab I got in a bulk lot.

Was working until the mobo blew.

I replaced the mobo and now when I load a rom ArcadeOS just drops to the dos prompt.

I normally deal with JAMMA cabs and don't have a lot of experience with ArcadeOS.

Any help would be great... getting fed up and about to flick the cab as is lol!

I have ArcadeOS version 2.35L

It's been years since I played with arcadeOS, but it seemed like it was very dependent on the soundcard setup.
When you say you replaced the mobo in the machine, did you end up replacing it with the exact same board as the previously had, or did you grab something new off the shelf that might not have had the same kind of legacy support (ie, DOS soundblaster compatibility)
