Has anyone played this?  Can you share your thoughts on suitability as a couch co-op PS4 game, or as a cabinet based PC game?

kthx

I'd say it's more of a couch co-op title than a cabinet game. Mainly because it's tuned more for controller analog aiming while hitting a separate attack button. Don't know how you'd do this game with arcade controls.

Anyway, the game isn't too bad. It's a visually upgraded Gauntlet, and the quality of art is pretty decent. I like that each character has a unique set of special attacks, and there are some neat combo/moves you can do for dishing out the damage or getting out of tough situations.  The enemy AI is pretty much Gauntlet-style-follow-me stuff, with a couple twists thrown in.

I played this game on the PS4 when it was free on Playstation Plus, and it held up for about a week before I got bored and moved on.

I bought it on steam, on sale for $5 , overpaid.

I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

It is way, way, waaaaay too hard, at least on normal difficulty.  The second level has creeping death following you the whole time and it's very difficult to avoid it in multiplayer.  The game also doesn't rubberband the characters together, so there's no stepping away to pound shots and eat chicken wings like we were accustomed to doing during Diablo 3.

I love this forum. I had added this to my wishlist, and was curious about the controls. Google led me here. Now I know I can save my money.

Ironically, the latest Steam sale is still $5 all these years later.  ::)

I mean, what's $5?  Your money is better spent on Diablo 3 but, eh.

Right? It's only $5. ....but so are the other 20-30 games I'm looking at..

Darn, Steam... That's how they get ya.

"Hey hon, what's this $130 charge to "Steam" on the credit card?"

This game pretty much sucks.

I know this is an old one, but-

I love that in fewer than 30 hours you could arrive at this concise of an assessment.
