Help me identify this machine
« on: January 07, 2004, 05:20:06 pm »
I know it's not exactly arcade but there is a machine that my wife liked playing out in Vegas. It had a large flat touch screen with multiple games like poker, blackjack, slots. When playing any of the card games the cards were dealt by a pair of disembodied hands wearing white gloves. Anyone know what this machine is called and who makes it? Thanks.

Thanks. That's the exact one I was talking about. Man it's not cheap but I'd love to have one. Have you ever played it?

First of all I'm not silly enough to delude myself by thinking I will win money on slot machines. This particular machine has a lot of cool games and great animation. They are also very good to practice your video poker and black jack on. Have you ever played this particular machine?

I've played it.  Very entertaining, and it had several games to choose from.  One looked like Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Junior were watching you play.

I have this thing about video machines though, I just don't trust them while I'm playing them.  I guess that should go for pretty much everything in vegas though.  ;)

They've pretty much offered up every other slot machine in PC game form, you might check and see if they have anything like this in the game section of your electronics store.

I have a lot of the casino software set up on my cab and it's pretty popular during parties. I guess I just like everything about this machine. The design, the touch screen, the software, and the games. Remeber though that those mehcanical(looking) machines are all computer controlled. The combination of what comes up is picked before the wheels actually spin.  ;)

Speaking of these kinds of machines, does anyone know where I might be able to purchase one of those mechanical horse racing games like they have at the Excalibur in Vegas?

Sounds like a job for byomhrt (build your own mechanical horse racing thing)  ;D Once it's built you could have swappable objects, so you can have car races etc to add a bit of variety!

I don't think so. That's a little out of my league. It's funny that you said that about swapping out objects though. One thing that was kind of cool was that the machine at Excalibur had llittle knights racing instead of just the horses. I've looked all over the web but haven't been able to find anyone that sells these. I'd love to have one of these for parties.

Yes, I've played it.  It's pretty cool.  I like the older style video poker machines.  I finally got one for Christmas, bill validator and all.

It's fun to play, but not as much fun as in the casino.

I had been searching ebay for IGT Poker on and off for about  3 years, finally got one that I wanted for a reasonable price.
