Using the Dolphin Bar For Lightgun games??

I have a Mayflash Dolphin sensor bar that allows you to use a Nintendo Wii Mote as a mouse pointer, i have it setup correctly so in windows when i move the wii mote about it moves the mouse pointer on the desktop but im unable to get it to work within MAME.

Im using Terminator 2 as an example and on the gun calibration screen when i move my mouse the gun sight on the screen moves but when i move the wii mote nothing happens. I have tried to go in to the options and  'controls (this machine)' and gone down to the AD Stick X analog setting which is currently set to Mouse 1, i have hit enter set a new setting but when i move the wii mote is seems to move the colour cursor highlight each line on the setting screen but doesnt actual set it as an input.

Any ideas on how to get this to work??

T2 is not a good game to start with because it has quirks to set up that other games don't have.
Download the setup guide for the Ultimarc Aimtrak and see the individual game setup info toward the back.

Thanks for the help, i have managed to get it to work in T2 but only as Player 2, whenever i config the mouse controls the Wii mote shows up as 'Gun 2' how do i set it so its 'Gun 1'??

EDIT: Managed to fix it need to delete the T2.cfg files in the cfg folder.

Any ideas why the 'A' button on the Wii Mote causes the on screen crosshair to jump to the bottom left hand corner of the screen?, i have set it to the bomb button in the control settings in MAME but whenever i push it the corsshair just jumps to the bottom left corner of the screen all the time!?
