Centipede 'type' CPO
« on: January 07, 2004, 12:19:15 am »
Since I am using a centipede cabinet for my project I thought my control panel overlay should tie into the whole theme.

I just did a quick photochop job playing around with the layout:

Of course I'm going to need to get a vector version of this when I finalize my controls.  I've come to the conclusion there is just no way I'm going to be able to fit a trackball on this panel if I want two joysticks :(

Any comments on layout?  I may end up adding one more button on for each player on the bottom row so I have a snk layout as well.   Maybe an angled button layout would look better?

Looks pretty darn nice.  Good idea.  I don't think you could fit a trackball in there.

Hmm. I don't have my layout file here, but I'm building a cabinet from scratch that's based off Centipede plans, and I will have a trackball on it. I did extend the control panel to be 8 inches (I think that's right) from back to front, though. If you'd like a copy of my plan for my cp, shoot me an email and I'll try to get it from work, where I developed it.
