No .ini
« on: September 08, 2015, 06:13:15 pm »
Hello Everyone, Icemac from Italy. I'm new here. Last week I installed GroovyMame 0.164 in my cabinet (Windows XP 32bit / Radeon HD4350 / arcade monitor 15Khz) and it worked like a charm - at first attempt - after I carefully read you guide. First of all I would like to thank Calamity for this fantastic software and for all the support. I have just one curiosity: I'm not able to obtain .ini files. I changed vmmaker.ini following your instructions (generate inis = 1, set ini path, table = 0). I run vmmaker.exe and it says "generated inis" but no ini appear in the designated folder. I shifted to Groovymame 0.165 but I still have the same situation. Could you please suggest me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

Hi Icemac,

You MUST NOT create inis for GroovyMAME.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

ooooh.... the mistery is solved! I misunderstood.... I thought inis were a possible option (eg to adjust a single game resolution). Thank you very much and excuse me for he dumb question!
