another AIMTRAK MAME issue....help please!
« on: August 17, 2015, 05:54:09 pm »
Hey guys - I got an AIMTRAK module and am having issues with it working. I calibrated it and in windows on the desktop it works fine. The mouse traks perfectly. In MAME the crosshair stays locked to the bottom of the screen and will move about 70% of the x position. I tried deleting my default and game specific CFG files. the only thing that changes it is if I turn on MOUSE in the mame ini file - then it moves to all four corners, but nothing in between.
any ideas?
Thanks!
Jeff

Which game? Did you calibrate the guns in game?

right now im using lethal enforcers for a test game. I tried to calibrate through mame and it doesnt work. I can manually do it through the config though. I went over this with Andy at Ultimarc and he said that since its working in windows he cant help me any more than that.

I dont mean calibrate in MAME menu, I mean calibrate from the operator menu in the game, for Lethal enforcers hit F2 to go to the operator menu and calibrate the gun in there.

Its set to 1
Im sure its a MAME issue somewhere - I tried it with supermodeler (star wars trilogy) and it works well. So at least I know its reading and calibrated through windows correctly.
