  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
LED issues (such as neogeo)
« on: August 07, 2015, 10:32:38 am »
I am working on my 3rd cabinet and this is my first with three color LED buttons.

My Specs:
Windows 7
Mala
Ultimarc Ultimate I/O
LEDBLinky

My second cabinet used single color LED with a PacDrive so I didn't need to use LEDBLinky and I used .led files in which I made one for the NeoGeo games and then used ROMlister to create a batch file that copied my NeoGeo.led file to *ROMNAME*.led.  However this isn't an option for multi colored LEDs (the I/O doesn't show up in the Hardware section in Mala) as I have found so I decided to try LEDBlinky.

I use !default.cfg as my default file that I created similar to http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Ctrlr_file years ago.

All the buttons work fine in the game but the wrong buttons are lit up.

Default
4 5 6
1 2 3

NeoGeo
2 3 4
1 x x

the red buttons are the ones that are lit up but these are not the buttons that are mapped.

As a test I created a fatfury1.cfg file and it worked fine and the correct buttons were lit up to the correct colors so I'm sure control.ini and color files are correct.  If it was as easy as copying this file using the same ROMLister batch file trick I would just do that but I would have to open every file and change the system name for each file as well and that seems like a lot of trouble so I figured I should probably reach out for some help at this point.  I'm sure I am not the first (or 100th) person to do this so I was curious how others handled this and what options do I have/what am I doing wrong.

Thanks.
