How to compile GroovyUME and GroovyMAME - help
« on: July 20, 2015, 03:16:48 pm »
Hi.

I've searched various topics and forums, and I think I'm getting the basic idea, but is there some type of step by step or tutorial that explains how to compile groovyUME.

I'm looking to compile v159 and I have the MAME source code (does this include MESS?), but I'm not quite sure what to do or how to get started. Essentially, what I'd like to do is compile a version of groovyUME without savestate popup messages.

Could someone provide assistance or relevant links?

Thanks so much. I appreciate your time and help.

Compile 0.163, MAME now contains MESS so there's no reason to keep compiling UME. In the main GM post you have the compiling notes, it's not really much more to that. Make sure to get the latest tools from MAMEdev.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
