Bob Roberts - Get Well Soon!
« on: February 26, 2015, 02:01:49 pm »
I'm not certain how many people have used Bob Roberts' site before, but it has always been one of the 'go to' places for electronic parts and components. As it is today, Bob Roberts' website is presently closed, as Mr. Roberts is having some health issues. Here's to wishing him better health in the future!!! Get well soon!

I frequent his help page pretty regularly, but I haven't been to his main site in a while. Didn't know it was closed for orders!
Thanks for the heads-up.

I hope he'll be ok...  :'(  Wishing him the best as well!

 :-[

I just ordered from him 2-3 weeks ago and he was lightning quick and everything seemed fine. Bob and Alice are huge pillars in the hobby community. Get well, Bob!!

Well, I just ordered from him this past week and received my wiring harness for my Total Carnage/Smash TV project.

Thought all was fine and dandy since I received the order in only a couple of days.  However, I just received an e-mail from Alice (I'm assuming it's his wife or daughter) that worried me.

"Bob went into the hospital CCU last Thursday & just today has been transferred to a regular room, so I am just now able to get email responses out.

We received your payment for your cross shipped order sometime between 7/2/15 & 7/8/15. Thank you.

Alice Roberts"

Did she mean ICU?  Hopefully everything is OK with Bob.  What do you guys think?

I hope Bob hangs it up soon. His health is worth more than this hobby.

CCU means Critical Care Unit - so pretty much same thing as ICU.  Bad juju.

Yots I agree. Nothing is worth one's health. He is a stand up guy and I'd rather see him around for years to come.

I heard from Alice today via e-mail. She confirmed CCU indeed means Critical Care Unit.

She also said, "Brain bleeding was the worst although he claims the bladder trauma was worse."

I wrote her back with, "I'm sorry to hear. Send him my regards and let him know that the entire hobby community is pulling for him to get better.

Please keep me updated and I will pass along any info as I am able.

God bless"
------

Wow.
(I'm stunned. I'm hoping the worst is over. )
