No, you shouldn't be getting that message. That happens when something's gone wrong during the process. Try again. Check this: http://geedorah.com/eiusdemmodi/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=334#p334
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Thanks Calamity, The CRT Emudrivers i installed was the ones at the bottom of this first post....

http://geedorah.com/eiusdemmodi/forum/viewtopic.php?id=65

It was a fresh install of Win 7 x64 as well and i removed the 4670 driver that windows installed before hand. I have a question though does CRT Emudriver, VMMaker & Arcade_OSD 1.4 all have to be in the same folder when running the CRT Emudriver setup.exe file, as i just had the CRT Emudriver files in its own folder?

They don't need to be in the same folder.

Check the forum, there are some long threads about the issues with W7 installation, every possible error should be covered there.

Example: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,138903.msg1435608.html#msg1435608

When installing the CRT emudriver, remember NOT to restart your PC when prompted to, else the installation fails. Maybe this is what you did?

Yeah ive skimmed over that thread but all the issues brought up seem to be for after the drivers actually been installed....im falling at the first hurdle and cant even get the driver installed!

Yeah it doesn't even ask me to restart, it just pops up with that message that no packages were installed

Please describe a bit the sequence of messages, texts and questions you get to see before that.

Well thats the only error message i have gotten. From my fresh install of windows 7....

created a mame folder which i placed GroovyMame in
created a ini file for GM
created a folder for CRT Emudriver and place the files in the folder
created a folder for VMMaker & Arcade_OSD and place the files in the respected folders
went into control panel>Hardware>device manager and uninstalled the AMD drivers that windows installed
then ran CRT emudriver setup.

It completes the setup but then gives me the "No driver package was installed" message

There are several steps in there before that message appears. Things that you need to accept, etc. I'm trying to help you.

Also, remember to run the installer as an admin.

Also, I would use Safe mode to uninstall the Amd drivers.
My old user name was marlborroman13, but I kicked the habit many years ago!

hi, did Lettuce get this fixed? I have exactly the same problem and have followed the steps exactly. It comes up with No driver package was installed". I am using a HD4350.

update...after rebooting pc, it began installing the drivers automatically and is now ok. Not sure why it didn't work following the steps, but the reboot did it.

Sometimes, it seems that this is the case, because the Calamity certificate is not validated after a reboot, and as a consequence the driver is then loaded. I know this sounds a bit random but it's the best guess I can do from the distance.
