Street Fighter problem, any ideas???
« on: June 15, 2015, 05:09:08 am »
Hello all,
I have mame 1.62 running with mala. I have everything set up and it all works great. Except one thing, no street fighter games work except Street Fighter the movie. When I try to play one it says Loading and runs up to 100% and then I am just left at the games list still and nothing happens. No error or anything, just nothing happens. Because any other game I tried worked I am thinking I am just missing something silly.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, I am cracking up now. Not much point in a mame setup without a few Street Fighter games ha ha.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I will try get my hands on the qsound. I had used a bios pack so thought it should have been complete. What is the qsound rom? Is it like a bios file? It makes sense it is something like that as it seems to be only the Street Fighter games I have an issue with.

its called qsound.zip its needed for CPS2 games , maybe even CPS1 and 3, not 100% sure.

If you try to launch non fighting games that run on CPS2 they probably wont work either , Aliens VS Predator, Saturday Night Slam Masters, Dungeons and Dragons, etc

Hi, thank you very much. You were absolutely right. I just put the qsound.zip file in to the roms folder and they all worked. Thank you for your help. Very much appreciated!!!
