Golden tee live 2009-2015 home upgrade canada

Hello all, I recently purchased a 2009 gt live machine, I have purchased an upgrade to 2015 home offline edition( being shipped right now). Apparently being in canada they will not allow online play like they do with the US home version. Does anyone know if there is a way around this to play online? Apparently the actual software is different for the canadian version. Thanks
