Will MAME ROMs v.161 work in MAME .160?

Hey guys, quick question.

I'm running MAME Version .160, will romset v.161 work or do I need to update my mame emulator to v.161 as well?

I tend to have the exe match the romset, but I havent updated in years :)

Thanks for the quick response. Is there a way to find out which games were updated in .161?
