bro got into a fight with his gf(lol) and smashed the tv screen with a frying pan. now....I am assuming just the screen is done and everything else still works. its a 32" panasonic lcd. can I buy the proper screen and just replace it? I am good with soldering and all that.

Dude,  instead of fixing it for him, tell your bro (or his lady) to calm their ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- down next time.

You will be heard pressed to find a replacement. Buying a new TV might be worth it, with accidental damage coverage. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=89-623-018

from a service tech,

you will be better off pulling the boards and selling them on ebay. use the funds for a new set.

replacement panels are expensive for a reason (the mfgr doesn't WANT anyone to fix their product(s))

AND they don't pay service centers diddly squat for warranty repairs

just a couple of reasons for the disappearance of most tv repair shops.    :soapbox:

I just bought a 32" 1080p phillips at target for $86 today. It's a display model, but I don't think anyone repairs any of the asian junk these days.

If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

In my brief experience with tv boards, I found you can make some decent cash selling them out. I would think most any Panny or Sammy board would have a bit of demand as well.
