Kortek MP-KT2182 from PGA Tour
« on: May 04, 2015, 09:51:22 pm »
I am in the process of rebuilding a PGA Tour Cabinet, I have finished the Computer part so now it's onto the monitor.  This is something new to me but I want to learn as much as I can.

When I first turned it on, There was nothing on the display..  I could hear the static build on the screen but thats it.  I then found if I turn the Screen adjustment on the flyback I could get the following.

Is this vertical collapse ?

If I go a little further with the screen adjustment after this it all goes blank again.

Should I do a cap kit ? new flyback ? any advise on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

I have enclosed a few more pics if that helps.  It looks like it has had some of the caps replaced.

i would be looking at vertical deflection circuit, kortek are well known for ic,resistors and caps in v.def circuit dying
i would not rule out an issue in the deflection yoke itself
