Your answer is totally right but my concern is more related to the custom packages built inside GroovyArcade (like: xf86-ati, SDL2, ...). But I can rephrase it in another way to avoid confusion.
SDL2 seems to be the arch repository version.
[root@GroovyArcade ~]# pacman -Si sdl2
