FE Suggestions for home console unit?

Hey,
Ok so I got a copy of hypespin and games form a member.  The layout of hyper spin is really cool but it is a major pain to get working... I try to configure controls for each emulate brut they do not always co-operate... major pain and I am ready to throw it.  I appreciate the member helping me out with the files, just Hyperspin is not easy to set up for me.  I am wanting to have a FE that is seamless, connected to my tv and use gamepads.  I want it to use the same controls throughout, with a cool fronted that makes it seem like it is a very own console for retro goodness. I do like the video previews and the pro look of hyper spin.  Does anyone have any suggestions? I have been out of loop for years!  please post links, ideas etc... I would appreciate it.

I used Mala for mine, but i like a straight-laced frontend... I have been hearing a lot of recommendations for Attract-mode lately, for a more pro look without the setup hassle. I can't personally vouch for it, but it will be the next FE I will check out.
