psx goldfinger
« on: April 15, 2015, 08:25:27 pm »
Does anyone here have a goldfinger for psx? Or any info?

I am considering getting one vs. A modchip until the psio is out.
I am not very good with mod chips. I managed to ruin a xenogc chip for the GameCube and it is supposed to be one of the easier ones.

I tried to Google it but have not found a game backup compatability list for the gold finger device.
I really just want to know what games do not work with it.
Also I want to know if any of the mod protected games work with it.

Here is the link to the one I am looking at.

Is there a reason you didn't purchase at $8.5?  Are you looking for it cheaper?

The only reason being that I don't really know a whole lot about it. This is the best price I found. So maybe if nobody knows what's compatible I will just buy it and make a list.

I have one of those.  They work great.  Mine was from Dateline.  Far better than chipping and it should include a PC link cable for codes.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

I had one of those, way in the wayback days.  It worked as well as one could expect.

Is was when we figuring that stuff out.  Some games didn't work but lots did.  For less than $10 you can't go wrong.

The  only cavet would be that the publishers may have done things to break that functionality.  YMMV and it could be the image.  Certain games had to be juggled others didn't.  I seem to recall you could write an image and it would verify, yet the game wouldn't load.

I think the only existing devices would be the ones that work.  I can't imagine the market is hot enough to support fakes.
