CPWizard Ate My Fullscreen
« on: April 02, 2015, 12:09:34 am »
My MAME (1.51) games were playing in fullscreen mode, but then I installed CPWizard to batch export some control panels for my Mala (1.74) layout. Now when I go into Mala, the game window is super small and surrounded by a digital bezel and control panel. After searching up and down, I couldn't find a way to remove this. So I uninstalled CPWizard and the MAME games are still miniature. I'm sure this is super obvious, but I'm struggling. Any suggestions how to get it fullscreen? I'd even like to reinstall CPWizard and figure this out, but the mini-resolution is really bad.

If you exported all your CP's as bezels then there should be a bunch of .zip files in your Mame's artwork folder. Delete them and it should be back to normal.

When you export the bezels you're really supposed to patch Mame so that pausing it will show your control panel. It's kinda pointless to export them as bezels without the patch.

Thank you. I'm sure that's what happened. I'll try it when I get home later.

I looked at that patch tutorial and it's a touch above my skill level.

I was using CPWizard to map MAME controls over an image of my control panel. Those images were then used in my Mala theme below a snap/video for each game. It wasn't as functional as having it in the game, but it seemed much easier than having to patch Mame.

Although most of the games didn't map properly, but I have a hunch my controls.ini is not up to snuff and I need to find a new one. That's my next challenge now that you've fixed my bezel issue.

Thank you!
