Artwork help needed!
« on: March 25, 2015, 03:01:37 am »
Hi all

I have open a topic at project anouncements about a new build named"FAMICADE" but i think it might be better to open a topic at artwork section.

I am stucked at the "artwork" part of the build.

I really like the FAMICADE logo , which you can find it attached but...i think is not enough by its own.

I would really like the cabs sides be covered with stickers. Not with busy artwork (arcade heroes , company logos etc) but with simple stripes. And the colors of the stripes will match the pushbuttons colors.

If anyone has a photo / link of a cab with nice simple colored stripes/lines at the sides please mention it.

Above i attached one example of what i mean and a clean side if anyone has a suggestion.

Thanks in advance... i am really confused at these chapter of the build.

Clean lines uncluttered and awesome...
My art is always free for you to download and modify as you see fit...
Why?... because I could never find any art I loved on the net. So I played around with Photoshop and wish to share it with the arcade community.

Thank you wol-nz

Yes the TAITORAMA is one of my favorite cabs. Very nice artwork but i think in my case it doesnt fit.

I have made some testings wiith modified taitorama artwork.

They look great, picture 3 and 4 are nice. Maybe i'd lose the 'space invaders' text and have that on your marquee.

Why not use the Super Famicom's colors for the stripes and buttons? Honestly i'm not a fan of the Famicom color scheme (red, gold, and black or white).

Thank you for the reply.

A good choice for the pushbuttons colors layout is the snes color layout. Like this....

but the difficult part   :hissy: is to "match" the cp button colors with something else (obviously i dont know what) on the cab. For example stripes or colored logo.

Does anyone has an idea?  :hissy:

I will cut my neck and throw my head in the toilet.

Slap the signature 4-color logo to the sides of the machine, but just make them big. You could also use this art here in place of the circles --

Not sure what overall color you want your machine to be, but white, gray, or black would be suitable. Be sure to name your machine the "Super Famicade".
