  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Scoreboard Emulation
« on: March 18, 2015, 12:01:15 pm »
I'm in the process of building a custom basketball arcade and had a few questions because I'm new to this arena of thought.

I need help with conceiving the idea of the scoreboard. I follow another thread on this forum that showed a way to connect a tv to computer and use a keyboard emulation for when a button is pressed or a basketball goes through and also the scoreboard template that could be used, but this is me right now trying to process that further:  :banghead: because I have responded to the thread and haven't got a response in a week or so.

Does anyone have any advice on this? The things that I am trying to do electronically are:
Count baskets, start the game by button (lifts gate, starts time, then reverts the time and gate after timer runs course)
Have the Tv show what the score is.

I would like to google someone close to me for help but don't know what type of job that would be...

Look in the Project Announcements - there is a Skeeball build that does exactly this. It would be pretty easy to adapt to a basketball game.
