NFL Blitz PC (97)
« on: March 17, 2015, 11:23:30 pm »
Just picked up a thrift store copy of the original pc NFL Blitz from 97.
Thing plays great on the cabinet, and I think it'll be a lot of fun, but a couple questions....I found people hitting the same walls as I am when I googled, but didn't find answers that were workable (ie, someone posted scans of the manual in 2003, but they're invalid links now)
1) is there some way in the game to remap keys? looks like it's on page 10 of the manual, but how do I get in? I have the option when launching the game to remap play keys, which I did, but I need to map an exit key, as I don't have an escape and Y key on my CP.
2) I'm playing the d3d version of it. any way to auto-bypass the config screens that I have to go through when I launch it via Hyperspin? I can use the trackball if I need to, but it'd be nice to just bypass those two screens all together.

The game may not have an exit function per say. The only thing I can personally think of is running it through a front end. Gameex for instance has a global exit and will exit out of anything it's running with esc

I'm already running via Hyperspin, so I'm not sure there's much more via the front end I can do.
