Got an xbox debug kit for $50 but no display cable... all seals are intact and it looks pretty mint. what should I do with it? Can I softmod it and run coinops6?

I think it runs homebrew without softmodding lol..

try loading slayer's 2.5 disc or any other bootleg game as is and see if it loads up

I figured out that you can run homebrews with a little work using Neighborhood. http://www.s-config.com/original-xbox-debug-console/

That being said, I am wondering if any of the emulators are optimized to run on 128mb ram? If not maybe I am better off just selling it and buying a regular xbox so I can upgrade the hard drive. I don't want to open this one because it is in such great shape it would just devalue it.

You can play a couple of games with the Chihiro emulator, but I don't think it makes much difference for anything else.

For $50 I'd just keep it and use as a normal Xbox and occasional conversation piece.

Thing is I don't really have any desire to own a "normal Xbox", I wanted to build a bartop powered by an Xbox. That being said, it seems the most logical route would be to sell it.
