XBOX SOFTMOD ISSUE (XBOX LIVE UPDATE ERROR)

I successfully softmodded my original XBOX with SID (Splinter Cell) and installed UnleashedX, then hotswapped the original drive with a 250GB IDE drive, used Chimp to clone the drives, installed XBMC, partitioned, etc. and EVERYTHING was working fine. I got every emulator/ROM/original XBOX game/app I wanted and they all worked fine and happily used it for weeks. I put Tron 2.0 Killer App on there over FTP, opened it, and it forced the XBOX to update XBOX Live, killing my softmod, and forcing the XBOX back into the factory dash every time I start it back up. I can no longer access XBMC or FTP into the XBOX. It only boots up to the factory dash. I don't know how to boot from the DVD drive to try and use a utility like Slayer's or something and install the Dual Boot option (which I've read will fix it or something?).

I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND NEED TO FIX THIS. I CAN'T LOSE ANYTHING ON THE HARD DRIVE. I JUST WANT IT BACK TO THE WAY THINGS WERE. PLEASE HELP.

All assistance will be much appreciated. I can't seem to find any good resources on how to fix this. I should mention I don't have access to a PC that still uses IDE drives. I only have a Mac, which I use to FTP into the XBOX.

Thats all I could think of too.   Im glad I got a hardmod on my xbox, I just put in slayers disc with a fresh 250GB HD and let the disc make a new xbox HD with F and G drives , installed all the dashes and stuff, then FTP coin ops over

Problem solved! Re-ran the SID Splinter Cell Installer and did Dual-Boot and reinstalled XBMC with AID. Thanks for the ideas, guys!
