HDCP and computer
« on: March 06, 2015, 12:38:20 pm »
I am leaning towards using an lcd TV for my monitor.  I've just read that new tv's have HDCP to prevent computers from capturing video.  Will HDCP compliant TV's not play video from a computer through hdmi or dvi?

It wont stop you from playing. it would just not record if the source was something else. like a bluray player to the pc to the tv. playing video from your pc shouldnt be effected by your tv HDCP. if it is im sure there is some HDCP compatible player you could get for it.
