WG7000 19" vs 25" strange behavior
« on: February 25, 2015, 01:22:30 pm »
Been quite a while since I've been here...

I donated my MAME hardware to the arcade I work for after be'n sucker'd into fixing someone's mess (2019 in 1 hack job). The setup ran flawlessly in my cab which has a 19" WG7000 std res monitor. After installing it in a 25" cab with a 25k7197 (std res right?) I can't get the vert freq to lock. Should anything need to be changed to keep a 25" happy?

Check the polarities. It looks like your monitor has separate pins for positive and negative sync polarities: http://www.jammaplus.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=59743&PID=588978&title=problem-with-vsyncmy-arcade-is-a-nightmare#588978

You can theoretically change the polarities both from VMMaker and GroovyMAME custom timings. Let's see if finally someone confirms if this works.

Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

It uses neg H/V sync via the Ultimarc video amp. This setup worked great in my cab at home. I just didn't know if going from a 19 to a 25 K7000 needed adjustments.

Disregard. Turned out to  be a bad VGA cable. That part is ok now....but I need to find out why MaLa is not seeing 4 gamepad boards....
