PS3 mod
« on: February 14, 2015, 12:23:38 am »
Hey guys I'm getting ready to build a PS3 racing cabinet and i was wondering how hard it is to mod or jailbreak a PS3? I don't want to steal games I want to not have to put the DVD in each time I change a game. I have several racing games already that I could rip. There is a lot of info out there on modding but it is hard to get simple answers.

Those days are over.  You would be better off with a 360.  ;)

Ok I'm not that console savvy. I'm not sure what you mean. I am using a PS3 and a Logitech driving force pro to go in a driving cab I'm building. Is it possible alter the PS3's software to not use DVD's every time I want to change games. Believe it or not. I don't want to download illegal games, I have the physical discs. This cabinet won't  play on the network. I don't want to buy another console,I would rather use what I have. I have around 6 newer driving games already. That's all I'm asking.

I think he means they patched that ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out.  You may not be able to  do that any more. *shrug*

Thanks Eric! That was all I was wondering.I was thinking he meant that I wanted to download torrent games, which I don't.I just wanted to find a way to use the PS3 with the racing games, I already had without inserting the DVD each time I change a game in the cabinet. I did find a guy on ebay that fixes ur Ps3,not sure how legit it is. Yeah, I could build a PC but I would have to buy new modern games. I had the Ps3 just laying around. I don't know ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- about consoles to be honest.
