I believe my Kortek chassis is fried, would it matter if I put a differnt chassis on my tube?

As long as the chassis is compatable with your tube, no problem. See the 8liner's chassis thread for more info.

If I remember correctly, the Kortek chassis uses a high impedance vertical yoke (30 to 60 ohms). Measure the resistance of the green and yellow yoke wires to be sure. I think you have the ten pin connector on the picture tube (29mm neck diameter).
