GM + 120 Hz + black frame insertion
« on: January 24, 2015, 11:11:05 pm »
I'm running groovyUME .154

Do I need to install CRT_emudriver and run VMMaker to use the pc_70_120 settings? I have an HD4890 videocard and a lacie electron blue III monitor. Specs are here: http://www.cnet.com/products/lacie-electron-22blue-iii-crt-monitor-22-series/specs/ It's essentially a rebranded Mitsubishi diamondtron tube.

I'm familiar enough with using CRT_emudriver and VMMAKER as I have a machine that I'll be using for mame running on a 15-31 khz monitor, but with the lacie and new settings, hardware scanline doubling, and black frame insertion, I'm somewhat in the dark now.

Advice appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, you need to install CRT Emudriver. Otherwise GroovyMAME can't tweak the refresh rates as required. Even if now the refresh rates are doubled, they're still custom. It's the same story as with 15/31 kHz.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
