Joust Tournament Online!!!!!

would any one be interested in a joust tournament online using the shockwave version on Midways site? we could set a date, and everyone would have to state what their initials on the board would be ahead of time so we know whos who, and whoever is on top of the "Daily Buzzards" board wins!  i dunno i became obsessed with joust recently and im #2 on their overall scoreboard... anyone interested?

I don't think the "Daily Buzzard" actually updates...
If you play a game & get on there, close the window & start it back up again.
It won't show your listing... (At least not with Mozilla...)
I just got 19250 & used the name "ACE" & it didn't save the "Daily Buzzard" entry...
We'd have to look at the actual high-score list before the "tournament" & compare it afterwards...
If you want to write down all the initials in the list, feel free to give it a shot.
I'm MAS & ACE... (My scores for MAS got high enough that I don't always get as high as my lowest entry so I started using ACE for my lower scores... hehe... I'll take over that list yet! hehe...)

I played joust in the arcade on one quarter for 9 hours. (not the cheesy kill the pteradactyl method either)

i would play i have played joust for hours also , but i haven't played in a long time ,maybe i should play some today

damn i just realized that top score list doesnt save! i was playing at work where i landed the number 2 spot with like 94k. and i went home and it was the default list... so i guess this wont work then =P

so lets talk joust strategies, what are the best ways to stay alive, any tips? also whats with the perodactyl thing, is it unkillable?

frist the perodactyl thing is a cheat , play a few levels then you let the hand catch a guy , then you stand on the middle landing , then they will send a perodactyl after  you face him and he will hit the joust and kill himself , now you can't stand too close to one of the edges i can't remember which one it is , i think it is the left side. After a while the perodactyls start coming out fast and you get alot of points fast. I did learn how to play the game by using the perodactyl to get a lot of points then i played the game normal. I found  that staying on the ground most of the time is best. I stay on the bottom level under the middle landing , when you get to the higher levels , when the meaner ones ( blue ) come out they will walk to the edge and fall down and if your standing on the side he falls on you can jump up just alittle and at that point he can't recover from his fall and you can kill him , it takes some time to learn ( but it works good ) , also if you flap high over the portal that they come out of , if they are the meaner ones they will come straight up and you can kill them also.there are a few spots which you can kill the perodactyl , but i don't recall where they are.

that pteradactyl cheat only works one 1 version of Joust, and I think there are 3 revisions.
