Every time my mother-in-law comes to visit me in Texas, she parks herself in front of my arcade and plays Ms. Pacman for hours on end. So I decided to surprise her with a bartop of her own. I needed plans, so I used the sketch up file someone made of Unstupid's build (imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, so here is a shout-out to you, bro. I changed the width to 18 1/4 to accommodate 2 joysticks with 6 buttons each. I used zero delay joystick encoders and a raspberry pi under the hood. I didn't do a great job of documenting the build, but I thought I'd post what pics I took and help any others I can. I did this without the use of a five axis router. It was just me, my jig saw, a router, and a few other tools. So ask away or feel free to leave a comment. I still have paint and graphics to do, and I have to add the back panel and lock that Unstpuid installed.

Two beginning pics. I didn't document this very well, but you guys have probably all seen enough of this part. I used cleats to screw sides into, but I also used a finish nailer as well.

Here a good chunk is done. I used pocket screws to make my bezel. I routed down 1/8 of an inch into the top of the CP to flush mount the zippy joystick plates, and I routed out under the CP 1/4 inch to make room for the joystick switches. The jig was one I made for my build a couple of years ago, and it kinda looks like a swastika.

Some "finished" pics

CP closeups with zero delay encoders

One internal pic (I'll take more once I cleanup the wires)
I used a mausberry circuit to power on the pi and make it properly shutdown. The volume control are inside because mame and retroarch can turn the volume up and down.
I have some filling, sanding, painting, and art applying to do, but the hard part is done. If I can answer any question and be of any help, please let me know.
