mounting an NUC on a de-cased monitor

but with an NUC attached to the back of the monitor instead.

when de-casing a monitor, say its stand is not removalable, would the stand then become removable once de-cased?

I put this under woodworking as its about building of sorts.

There's always a way to remove a monitor stand.

it will be a dell P1914S, the stand is removable, I just wnated to know if it oculd be done with the  E1913S, taht stand is built inwith vesa ports available for NUC.

but my main question is is it safe to put NUC or Akasa Euler S  vesa mounted on a de-cased monitor, the reason for the de-casing is that is will be mounted to arcade cabinet and saves 2KGs of weight from the P1914S ( I want the P1914S over the E1913S due to USB ports and other things)

Should be fine -- Otherwise the NUC wouldn't include the VESA mounts to be used for mounting to the monitor ! - might need to purchase new screws or use a few washers\spacer since you are removing the space used by the monitor case. (figure a few washers or a spacer might be a good idea anyway to leave an airgap between the NUC and monitor to allow some airflow to reduce heat build up )

With LCD monitors there isn't really any interference to worry about (figure the case for the monitor is only a thin piece of plastic anyway so removing it doesn't really change much - If you are removing the NUC case and mounting the MOBO then you will want to be sure that the MOBO does not contact the metal case of the monitor directly and cause shorting but other than that I don't foresee any problem with it. )

lol its okay I wont be decasing the NUC, only the monitor.
