Playstation 3 Rail Shooters with Move Controller
« on: December 14, 2014, 07:27:04 pm »
Since many of us love arcade shooters, I thought I would put together a video with all the rail shooters on PS3.  The Move controller doesn't get a lot of love but if you're a fan of the genre, I think it's worth checking out.

It's a terrible shame the Move is so laggy and unresponsive.  I really wish that Sony had come up with an IR-LED style design like the Wii (and all modern lightgun games) for the PS3 and be done with it.  These PS3 lightgun games all end up being "follow the laggy cursor" fests, and have none of the accuracy or response you want from an arcade lightgun game.  Great games destroyed by rubbish hardware.

The PS3Move is a pretty good example of why marketing people shouldn't be allowed to design technology.

Looks like the move controller needs calibration, and you also need a good rifle controller.

Otherwise House of The Dead Overkill and Time Crisis are pretty good games especially if you have a buddy join up.  Also check out Kill Zone 3.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

Yeah, I didn't spend much time calibrating and I was standing at a weird angle trying to have the gun in the corner.  I am actually using the Sharp Shooter gun in most of the video but you can't really see it.
