My Vewlix inspired stand up cab (nintendo theme)
« on: December 09, 2014, 05:04:58 am »
Hello boys and girls,

So i've been planning for weeks already and I just started my build!
One day, I stumbled on this and instantly fell in love with it:

It turned out the guy was inspired by a post on this forum :

So yeah, I built it in sketchup, got everything that I needed and started cuting the MDF! Since i dont have much free time, i only did the sides and the bottom, everything turned out perfectly.

I have one question though since It's my first cab. On this forum, stevenpbhs made a 30cm deep control panel, and the guy on reddit did a 38cm one... I tried building both on cardboard but i'm still wondering which would me more confortable?? Any thoughts?? Is there a standard size? I also thought that 30cm would be easier for the cab to go through doors...

Thanks for the advices guys

ps: i'll post pics very soon
