English mark dart machine Arachnid ad 4500
« on: December 02, 2014, 12:07:11 am »
I have this dart board which until recently worked great. The problem I'm having is two parts. First I turned it on after a long time having it stored and it seemed like it was in some kind of set up mode that I've never seen before. The digit score read outs below the players spelled out something I forgot. It wasn't normal like it needed to be programmed. Now when I turn it on the overhead light comes on and the lights for the coin slots but nothing else. Does this mean a bad compositor or is it just shot? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing you haven't checked voltages yet?

If it was stored for a long time, did any mice or moisture get to anything?

Have you measured the output voltages from the power supply?

Did you look on the power supply for any blown fuses?

No. I haven't checked voltages, well I tried to but I'm not sure what I'm looking for and what to check. I took myulti meter and went through the fuses and I'm getting 49volts on one fuse and 29 on the other. The main fuse is good. Does this make sense?

What's a compositor?

Please consult google and learn how to read voltages, though you probably just knocked a connector partially loose.  Reseat all those and get back to us.  (and before you ask, reseat means unplug and plug back in)
