  • I want to build my own arcade cabinet!
Few weeks ago I purchased a new Makvision monitor and I was not so lucky.
So, my problem is with the top of the display - the screen is curled along the top.

I tried each option from the remote adjustment board but nothing happens - there is only vertically pincushion adjustment.
If some one of you fought in the past with this kind of problem, please help me to fix this.

Here is a picture with my monitor - http://postimg.org/image/3rh7ti4f1/

Thank you!

There should be a way to rotate the screen so it is level.  If you go into the menu of the monitor I believe it is under the number 2.  You can adjust the pincushion as well if needed.

You are right! But there is not a rotate problem.
Like I said - the screen is curled along the top like an arc.

I have the same monitor and unfortunately, the geometry isn't top notch on these. I've had some similar issues as well and it's still not 100%, but I've learned to live with it. :) With that said, I'm very happy with it, although it's nothing like the WG D9800 I had before, which I was stupid enough to sell. :(

As was previously posted, the geometry on these monitors leaves a lot to be desired.  Mine had the same issue and I found that if you monkey around with it enough you will get something that is "tolerable".    Bothered the heck out of me at first but now I don't even notice it.

Hi guys,

As I promised, I'm back with some news...

I tried to fix that issue, but no success - Is much better now but I don't like in the end.
I believe that there you need more patience to fix this kind of issue and for sure you need somebody who knows what he's doing - unfortunately is very hard to find this kind of person in these days.

So, I decided to return this product and get my money back.

Hi guys,

Few days ago I put this monitor on the floor and I start to play with the magnetic strips behind of the tube even I was little in fear to touch his back but I did it! It seems that with this wonderful magnetic strips you can fix any geometry problem on your CRT monitor. So, at the end the result is amazing and the image is gorgeous!

So, if you have this kind of issue as I had, you can search for this kind of magnets which definitely makes you happy.
Here is a short video () with the final result.

Cheers!
