Help With Pole Position

Hi all,

need some help in configuring PP and PP2. I have a cabinet and had everything was running fine using Atomic FE and Shiftermame. I use an A-pac for the shifter and gas pedal. All was working well until I decided to use Joy2key to map the 'Enter' function to a dedicated button on the cabinet-so I could ditch the keyboard. I seem to have messed up some of the  settings in MAME. When I accelerate the brakes come on-I know this because I hear the tires screeching. I have tried changing the game settings...setting brakes to none but it doesn't seem to work. Is there a DIP setting that needs to be turned on or off? If memory serves- the A-pac is seen as a joystick right? Any help would be appreciated.
