I notice that some people use it here, I downloaded it, looks good but I have a question: is there a free version? It seem i keep downloading a timed trial one...

That's probably Sketchup pro, there are free versions.

You ARE downloading the free one.  When you DL it you get the Pro version for an 8 hr trial.  At the end of the 8 hrs the Pro features stop working but the rest of the program is fine.  Honestly, the "pro" features are mostly stuff you will never notice unless you are actually a professional CAD developer.
