WG K7400 voltage questions
« on: October 28, 2014, 10:34:27 pm »
I'm working on yet another WG chassis.

This time a K7401.

If my research is correct, I should be getting 117VDC, but I don't know where to pull the voltage from.

Should be a test point, TP202, v=117.

Do you have a schematic?
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice.....there is!!

Yes.

I was 90% sure it was TP202, but I wanted to verify.

Thank you!

I saw that TP203 is listed as a higher voltage, so I thought it might be for B+.

Speaking of those voltages, I do have another question.

It says at the bottom that some are in reference to chassis ground (black wire to the metal frame) while others are in reference to AC ground (black wire to green wire on AC input). But isn't the green wire attached to the chassis anyways? Hence, AC ground and chassis ground are now the same.

Confused!
