Controlling Stella
« on: October 08, 2014, 06:52:18 pm »
Ok - I think I've done due diligence in my quest for an answer, so I'm posting in hope. I'm trying to add some Atari 2600 to my Arcade. MaLa is the front end to Stella... works great. Stella however will configure the Joysticks for Up, Down, Left & Right. I need the diagonals! I've got Ultimarc Mag-Sticks... so I may be out of luck.  :banghead:

I'm pretty sure all atari 2600 games would have been 2 or 4 way, so I doubt you would be able to configure the diagonal controls individually.

If you switch your magsticks to 8-way you can hit Up+Left simultaneously. (Almost) no emulator specifies diagonals separately. Atari 2600 sticks are 8-way with 4 switches.
