Can anyone recommend any good Dreamcast Games?
« on: December 13, 2003, 11:04:27 am »
I've just bought a secondhand Dreamcast, and I'm now considering buying some new games for it. Can anyone recommend some good ones, and also cheap places where they can be bought?

The machine actually came with 18 games, but I haven't had a chance to check them all out yet.

I'm especially interested in arcade ports (that's the main reason why I bought a Dreamcast) and I've already decided to purchase Virtua Tennis 2 and Dead or Alive 2.

Thanks in advance.

I really liked Shenmue, but I'm sure some people would hate it (in fact, I expected to hate it).  A lot of work went into the little world they made, and it shows and makes it fun just to see everything.  Definetly NOT an arcadey game.

I also happen to really like Championship Surfer.  After seeing lots of horrible surfing games in my life, this one finally got it to work.  The game could have been made a lot prettier, but it really really challening in a way that keeps me coming back for more. (4 bucks well spent).

The Tony Hawk games are awesome.

I've been getting a lot of used games at EB for as little as $1.99.

Here's one good place to stock up on some really cheap games with the 15 classics for 15 bucks deal:

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen
