Super Off Road upgrade to Track Pak
« on: October 01, 2014, 02:44:56 pm »
I assume this is a dumb question and it will swap right out... BUT wanna check with the pros first before spending cash.

Got a Ivan Stewart's Super Off Road 3 player machine last night... was awesome! Seemed to play just fine on all 3 steering wheels and we played it for probably 2 hours last night.

Problem is there are not a ton of levels and I know the Track Pak has more... can I simply unplug the original and plug in the new one, power it up and play?

Promise I searched first :)

Does this actually exist?  Never saw one in the wild, and I've always wondered if it was a KLOV lie akin to that "Xmen upgrade kit."

Haha yea there were definitely two versions of the game that I know of... just hoping everything was interchangeable.

I searched this site and google and came away with very little... but just got the bright idea to search KLOV specifically and found some info. Its possible to just swap ROMs but there are over 20 of them so easiest to just buy an ebay board and swap them (or vulture the ROMs to your old functioning board).

Sorry, I should have searched a little more in depth... but this is here now in case someone checks in the future. Thanks.

I wasn't aware there was anything less in the wild until I discovered MAME and KLOV. My brother and I spent hours on this game back in the day.

But I digress, 20 versions?! I'm at a park so no laptop but say what?

TNT amusements has a video where they talk about this game. Look them up on YouTube and check out their most recent videos, as they just did it a week or two ago.
