Problem with ALT key
« on: December 12, 2003, 11:02:15 pm »
Is there any way to invalidate de ALT key in XP ?
It opens the maximize,minimize,close,.. menu in a window and stops the process of the program running in it.

Unfortunately I don't think there is.  I have never seen an option for it.  Also, disabling that would prevent most users from using keyboard shortcuts, and prevent windows from being used without a mouse (or with a broken / crashed / unresponsive mouse), so I'm pretty sure Microsoft wouldn't have included it as a feature.

If you problem involves a pushbutton assignment on your control panel, I suggest you remap buttons because there are all kinds of fun little nasty windows things that happen if you get certain combinations of players in a game together.

Same problem here... I'm using pacmanfan's remapped build of z26.  It nice except it has the alt key set as left player's fire button.  There doesn't seem to be a way to change the keys yourself unless you know how to compile it on your own, but doing that is beyond me.  :)
