MAME forgets my key mapping
« on: March 11, 2002, 06:08:57 am »

I can change the key assignments in the
"general keys" setup found in the "TAB" menu,
but every time I close and reopen MAME
the changes are lost.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ron.

do you have a cfg directory under mame?

is there a default.cfg?

is there a chance it was set to readonly?

only some guesses

I forgot about read only. I copied the files from the
old computer using a CD. I remember changing files
to not read only, but I might have missed some.

I'll give it a try,
Thanks.
