Try installing the Jet 4.0 drivers. Your probably on an OS older than ME and don't have office 2000 installed so you need those drivers to connect to an access database.

Mike is correct. You need to update you drivers. As this is not an AFX support forum so you are better off reading and postion directroy to the AFX board if you have any problems in the future. The link to get the Jet 4.0 drivers is on the AFX board.

Ed, I really have to say, that icon you have will always make me see you as the bowling god of gods :)

btw, quick celebrity thing.  I met John Goodman before.  (at the coolest bar in the world.  "The Saturn" in New Orleans).  He goes to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival almost every year and I volinteered there for like 15 years.

well i got past that problem although i had to not only download the Jet4.0 Service Pack 5 but also some other microsoft data access thing. it was complicated b/c to get that installed i also had to upgrade my IE to 4.01 SP2, that took awhile cause i had to find the full installation since that computer has no internet connection adn the regualr IE installation uses the internet durning the process of installation.

anyways....
i still have another problem, i would post this in the AFX board but of course im having problems w/ anything AFX related so ill have to post it here. is what happens is when i run AFX it doesnt find the roms, i dont know why i followed the installtion procedure exsactly and i now have the jet 4.0 installed properly so that shouldnt be it. i even go to the update database button but that doesnt work either it just continues to find no roms. what did i do wrong this time? im thinking maybe im just doomed and i this is some message that i shouldnt use AFX (j/k) but seriously i dont know whats wrong and i really really want to use this in my cab. Once again any help would be very much appreciated. thanks again.

might just have to go back to good ol' DOS Quick MAME launcher :( :(
