  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Cab Custom Artwork by opt2not
« on: September 20, 2014, 10:13:18 am »
After many delays in getting my cab put together (selling/buying home, moving) with the artwork, I'm ready to present my new cab!

The cab is a kit from Rec Room Masters.

The controls are an X-Arcade Tank Stick.

The artwork was custom designed by BYOAC member opt2not and printed by Rec Room Masters.

The coin door is from X-Arcade.

Tokens (not really clear to see in the pics) were purchased from BYOAC member Santoro.

Keychain (not visible in pics) was purchased from BYOAC member OldTymeToys

I still have a bit of work to do like closing off the area between the monitor and marquee where light seeps in (you can see it in the last pic), and blacking out the Tank Stick where the graphics don't quite cover it up. I still don't have Maximus Arcade working seamlessly and I'd like to purchase and install a light gun.

Sorry some of the pics aren't rotated properly... the images look fine on my laptop and when I open the images direct in my browser but they get rotated here?

I'm glad that you're happy with the artwork, and that it all turned out really nice!  :applaud:

The measurements and character positions work really nicely with the contours of that cab.  I also like that little alcove shelf space under the monitor, it would work really nicely as a beer/snacks spot ;)

Thanks for posting the end results!  It turned out really awesome.

But...what about bartop kits?  Would that be considered BYOAC?  >:D

bartops are a pass if you build many before  :laugh2: I build 3 full size cabinets and hundreds of small sticks(sold them as business). I am just busy and lazy(at the same time) and wanted a small  bartop lol..

wonder how long all that took. maybe a year  :dizzy: ?? very nicely done.
