ps3 to ps2 help
« on: September 12, 2014, 10:39:39 pm »
I was just curious, would the PlayStation eye(ps3) work on ps2 as an eyetoy? Or would I need to get an eyetoy for ps2?

Its USB.  Try it.

I don't have any Eye Toy games for the PS2 so go buy one and find out. Wallymart is clearencing them for $30 and the Move controller is $20.  While you are at it, pick up that  PS3 gun that looks like it came from an Aliens movie for $20 too.

Believe me it's badass for House of The Dead.   ;D

I don't have any eyetoy games either just wondering if I would need the eyetoy to play them. Guess I could not so legally download an iso to test it out.

I'm was trying to go the other way around. I have the PlayStation eye for ps3. I wanted to see if it works on ps2 for the eyetoy games

They both use a USB slot so I don't see any issues. Although it might be more advanced compared to the PS2 one.

That's what I was thinking. I don't have any eyetoy games to test it. But as soon as I softmod it I can download and see if it works.

Tell me if it works! I will probably purchase the console and try it out later. Need a decent console, my house only has the Wii and 3DS XL since I moved (had to leave my old consoles behind sadly).
